MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard created by Anthropic that allows AI assistants to connect to live data sources and call external tools. Threadly is one of the first social media platforms to implement a native MCP server.
What the Threadly MCP server provides
- Publishing queue access — Your AI assistant can see, create, edit, and reschedule posts in your Threadly queue.
- Analytics context — Ask Claude "which platform is performing best this month?" and it will pull live data from your Threadly account.
- Audience insights — Follower growth trends, engagement rate history, optimal posting times.
- Content history — Past published posts, performance scores, and top-performing formats — all accessible to Claude for informed recommendations.

How to connect the MCP server
Visit threadlyhq.com/mcp for full setup instructions. You will need your Threadly API key (found in Settings → API) and your MCP client configuration file. Setup takes approximately 5 minutes.
