Connecting a social media account to Threadly takes under 30 seconds. Here is the step-by-step process.
Step-by-step connection guide
- Log in to your Threadly account.
- In the left sidebar, click Settings.
- Select Connected Accounts.
- Click Add Account and choose your platform.
- You will be redirected to the platform's own login/authorisation page.
- Log in with the account you want to connect, then click "Allow" or "Authorize".
- You are redirected back to Threadly with the account now connected.
Platform-specific notes
- Facebook & Instagram — You can select which Pages and Profiles to connect after authorization. Instagram requires a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page.
- LinkedIn — You can choose to connect your personal profile, a Company Page, or both.
- TikTok — TikTok requires a Business Account for direct scheduling.
- YouTube — Connect through your Google account and select the YouTube channel.
What if my connection breaks?
OAuth tokens expire or become invalid if you change your social account password, revoke access, or the platform updates its permissions. Threadly will notify you via email if a connection fails. Reconnecting is the same process as connecting for the first time — your historical data is retained.
How many accounts can I connect?
- Free: 3 profiles total
- Starter: 10 profiles total
- Professional: 25 profiles total
- Agency: Unlimited profiles
